2023 Vision Series: What’s Next for Faith Church
Every fall, Faith Church holds a Vision Sermon Series to set the tone for the upcoming year. Pastor Kirk and the team put a lot of thought and prayer into this series because it’s more than just a forecast—it’s an opportunity to align our hearts with the Holy Spirit and be guided by God’s vision for Faith Church.
Seeking God’s Direction
Last winter, some of our staff went away for a few days to pray and seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance for this year’s vision. We walked away with a sense that God had placed something special on our hearts. While we’re only human and don’t always get everything perfect, we felt assured that God was guiding us toward this vision.
A Series You Won’t Want to Miss
We’re excited to announce that the Vision Sermon Series will begin this Sunday, September 10, 2023, and run for four weeks. Each message is a chance to see what God has in store for us as a church.
As leaders, we’re reminded of a quote from The Leadership Challenge:
“To create a climate of meaningfulness, first you must personally believe in something yourself” (2002, p. 112).
We truly believe in this vision, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Don’t miss these weekends!
Jesus’ Vision Statement
One of Jesus’ own vision statements, found in Luke 4, reflects His mission and heart:
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the LORD’s favor has come.”
(Luke 4:16-19, NLT)
Pray with Us
Please join us in praying for this Vision Series. We pray that God will anoint this time and that we, as a church, will bring the Good News to our community and beyond.
Blessings,
