CORE VALUES
-
We intentionally provide a welcoming environment where individuals can explore their faith, share openly, connect deeply with others, and serve the community—all without pressure or judgment, but with hope and expectation. In this space, we learn to love each other unconditionally, embracing our diversity and supporting one another on the journey.
(1 John 3:16-18)
-
Amid life’s challenges, we believe in finding true rest in God’s grace. Creating a rhythm of rest allows us to heal, grow, and gain the perspective we need to fulfill God’s calling. Resting in His love renews our capacity to serve and follow Him wholeheartedly.
(Matthew 11:28-30)
-
Living loved means embracing God’s boundless love and letting it shape our lives. When we know we are deeply loved by God, we can love others with compassion, grace, and purpose. We are called to live with the fullness of His Spirit, bearing fruit that reflects His love in our lives.
(John 3:16; Galatians 5:22-23)
We’re Glad You’re Here!
Who We Are
Faith Church began as a small group of believers in 1878, passionate about connecting people to God and building a community rooted in Christ’s love. Over the years, our church has grown and transformed, adapting to the changing needs of our community while staying true to our mission of sharing hope and truth.
Today, we are a thriving family of people from all walks of life, centered on Jesus and dedicated to living out His love in everything we do. Our journey has always been rooted in a desire to serve, grow, and impact lives, and no matter where you come from, what your story is, or where you are on your faith journey, there’s a place for you at Faith Church.
A House Church with a Vision
Faith Church began in 1878 as a small home gathering, driven by the vision of creating a place where faith and community could flourish.
The Early Years
Building a “Work of Grace”
In 1924, Faith Church established its first building on Magnolia Street. Guided by Pastor John Coleman’s call for a “work of grace,” this space allowed us to deepen our impact in the community.
The 1924 Vision
Growing with Our Community
In 1979, Faith Church moved to Lake Lansing Road, expanding our ministry to better serve our growing community and continue our mission.
1979 and Beyond
20 Years in the Making
In the early 2000s, Faith Church purchased land on State Road, anticipating future growth. Now, the Imagine Campaign brings this vision to life.

A Vision for Tomorrow
Faith Church is excited about the Imagine Campaign—a vision to build a new space for worship, community, and outreach. We invite you to join us in making this vision a reality and discover how you can be part of it.
What We Believe
At Faith Church, we value our unique heritage and identity within the diverse Body of Christ. Though Christian churches may differ in some practices or beliefs, we are united by the core essentials of our faith. As part of The Wesleyan Church, we emphasize teachings that guide our journey of faith and empower us to share the love of Jesus with others.
-
We believe the Bible is fully inspired by God. It is accurate, trustworthy, and serves as our ultimate guide for faith and daily life.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105)
-
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons—Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. God the Father loves and sustains us, Jesus Christ redeems and reconciles us through His life, death, and resurrection, and the Holy Spirit empowers and guides us in holy living.
(Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:16-17)
-
People are created in the image of God, but due to our sin, we are separated from Him. Humanity has a natural tendency toward rebellion against God, yet He continually reaches out to restore us.
(Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-5)
-
Forgiveness is a gift received through confession of our sins, belief in Jesus’s power to save, and a commitment to follow Him as the leader of our lives. Through this faith, we are reconciled with God and receive eternal life.
(John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10)
-
As followers of Jesus, we are called to give ourselves away so that others may know Him. We aim to walk together in faith, support one another’s spiritual growth, and serve our community with compassion and love.
(Matthew 22:37-39; Galatians 6:2; Hebrews 10:24-25)
